PC/ABS, a blend of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), is a thermoplastic material that combines the excellent characteristics of both components. It offers the moldability of ABS and the mechanical strength, impact resistance, heat resistance, and UV resistance of PC. PC/ABS is widely used in automotive interior parts, office equipment, communication devices, household appliances, and lighting equipment.

Polyethylene is the most produced and widely used general-purpose thermoplastic, with a simple molecular structure mainly consisting of repeating methylene chains. PE is a typical crystalline polymer, and depending on the polymerization process and chain structure, it is mainly divided into high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). HDPE has few branches, regular structure, and high crystallinity; LDPE has many branches, loose structure, and low crystallinity; LLDPE has a linear structure with short branches and properties between the two. Common characteristics of PE include excellent chemical stability, very low moisture absorption, good electrical insulation, and flexibility, but its low surface energy makes printing and bonding difficult, and it has poor heat resistance.
